If you caught it early enough you may be able to clean it up with dielectric grease a must have for working on car electrical systems. Ive recently had the dash apart to fix the defrost diverter. Power door locks are prone to failures due to electrical interruptions corrosion broken wires or blown fuses. To test disconnect all locks and switch then replace fuse if don t blow start with driver door and reconnect lock check fuse see if it blew if not reconnect switch active lock check fuse see if ok.

Ive disconnected the brake controller the cig. Find out why a lack of any movement in door locks is most likely a result of a blown. Usualy the door wiring is damaged but there may be more then two cigarette lightes depending on the model. Once the switches corrode you will keep blowing fuses until you either remove the corrosion or replace the switch.

Unplug cigarette lighter check circuit unplug each door individualy at first don t forget the back doors check circuit. If the power door lock relay fails it will cut off power to the entire power door lock. And the fuse blows as soon. Maybe one of the lock actuators or a switch.

Worked fine for a week until i hooked up my camper again. I hooked up my camper and a few mile down the road i could smell electric burning. Does it blow the fuse if so sounds like possibly a door lock actuator is going out and sticking causing the fuse to blow. Replace fuse then press the lock button from inside vech what happens.
