To stap the kayak to the roof open both passenger doors.

Grab the kayak at each end by the hull not the grab handles and lift the boat overhead.
It is really more about technique than strength so do.
Once you ve loaded the boat just lift the kayak or sup and the roof rack will retract with it.
Follow manufactures instructions to install the basic roof rack if you don t have a built in one and the kayak carrier kit.

Leave the straps loose at this point as you may need to adjust this kayak after the second one is placed.
Step 2 wrap one cam strap.
The easiest way to load a kayak onto a car is with two people.
Strap the first kayak down to the roof rack.
This is the easiest way to get your heavy fishing kayak on top of your car or truck.
Put the business ends of the straps on the passenger seat behind the driver s seat.
Throw one end of the straps over the roof go around and toss that end through the passenger door.
With one person at each end carry the kayak by the grab handles and position it next to and parallel to your vehicle with the bow toward the front of the car.
You may need to try it in different positions to find the best way for your kayak to sit on the car.
Then attach the strap to the buckle or ratchet and tighten until the straps are good and taut.
Throw the straps over the kayak and secure the straps.
Place the first kayak on the roof rack.
You should always tie down the bow and stern of your kayak especially if you are going to transport your kayak without a roof rack.
Open your hood and tie some utility cord about 100 lb capacity to some metal parts of your car see picture below.
You can do this with a variety of tie down straps.

Slide the kayak onto the roof rack with the cockpit facing upside down toward the roof of your car and center the cockpit of the kayak between the two bars of your car.
