The solenoid is bad.
Rear passenger door wont lock.
Here is what i found with my v6 2004 right rear door.
If the lock isn t getting power hold the lock switch either up or down and then open and close the door repeatedly to see if the lock will work.
Replacing it may require removing the car door panel.
Sometimes it will lock and sometimes it wont.
Again if one door doesn t work but others do the problem could be with the door lock solenoid.

Apparently there is something sticking in the mechanism of the door lock latch.
The nearside rear door on my s max has a bit of an issue with locking.
