Remove Door Panel Legacy 2012

Pull the door panel straight out with your hands to remove it.

The clips will unsnap and the panel will come right off. Most door panels will have small trim pieces located at the top of the panel at either the right or left side. Press the release tab on the grey plastic electrical connector and pull it straight out of the socket on the bottom of the switch panel. Pull out on the bottom of the trim panel right in the middle to release the bottom retainers.

Pry the snap retainers out of their seated position. Pry against the metal portion of the door until you feel the fasteners pop. Disconnect the small plastic connector clips holding the door panel in place by pulling the door panel straight out using 1 swift motion. Here is an upper trim piece to the left of the panel.

Support the lower trim panel by hand near the glass. Free shipping on many items. Begin to pry the door panel away from the frame starting at the bottom and working your way up each side. These pieces must be removed before removing the panel.

Move the tool towards the hinge area and repeat while holding the loose portion away from the door. Lower the trim panel from the liftgate. The oem door speaker is held in place to the frame by four torx t20 star bit screws. Use a small screw driver or trim removal tool and detach pop off any trim pieces above the door panel.

Use the trim panel tool as your pry device. 4 torx t 20 speaker screws. Remove the pull handle cup. Start at the bottom of the trim panel and insert the door panel removal tool.

Set the plastic door panel aside in a safe place.
