This is what the tool looks like it is supplied with a box of different length tool pins starting with the shortest pin the 19mm bolt is wound in to easily push the pin up into the hinge. Changing used door hinges on my 73 super beetle. 4 remove the interior lock knob and remove door panel by popping out tabs connected to door frame and lifting up off of window ledge. This is done by gently prying off the metric 6mm circlip on the pin. 2 remove armrest and two screws that hold door panel to door frame. Maybe i got lucky with mine but i m going to do the same with the drivers door later this fall. It took about 15 minutes per pin of impact to remove and the end of of tapered bit was starting to mash over a bit.

I had a machinist remove drill and replace the upper pin with an oversize. 3 pop the outer cover off the interior door handle.
